Elegy

Oh, my little nook
I liked you very well
You held so many books
And now, without you...hell.

Careless buttocks crushed you
He says it's not his fault
I left you in the bed it's true,
But it is all for naught.

My little nook,
Your glowing light
Allowed me to read
Far into the night.

Now my baby sleeps
And in the dark I lie
With no glowing little nook
To abide with me by and by.

He will replace the damn thing
Though he protests it now
For I replaced his camera
When it ran into my elbow.

Lacy things and flowers?
Not for me this Valentine's
But to a glowy little box
I will soon say, "Please Be Mine."

So sorry about the demise of your nook. May it be replaced very soon.

On kindle #3 at my house. 1 inexplicably died. Just rolled over and toes up. 2. I dropped on the tile kitchen floor. Made it very difficult to read with half of the screen black. 3. now has a soft case to protect it.

Much sympathy on the demise of your Nook.
