We had two snow days. We had a weekend.
Now it's Monday again.
I do not have my head in the game today. My mind's on packing and the fact that SP has either a mother of a cold or an ear infection. I texted all my students on Thursday night to tell them that the Friday tests would be on Monday. Then a coworker texted me to say the same tests would be on Wednesday and we'd just "do letter writing and stuff" for the rest of the week. Um, my kids are ready. So I have to kill a couple days on easy spelling words and stuff when I could be teaching. I'm thinking I'll drag in some stuff from E.D. Hirsch and some poetry and stuff them full of knowledge instead of going easy on them.
DH is frustrated with my bizarre packing patterns. I have packed all but four of our drinking glasses but I haven't packed anything from the storage area in the garage. It's because I dread slogging through things I chose to store but obviously have no need of. It's going to be annoying despite my love of the big rolly tape dispenser I get to use.
I did find a gift card to a teacher store when I went through some drawers yesterday so that was beneficial at least. Mainly it's a situation of: How many notebooks does one woman need? How many writing implements? And why have they been stored virtually everywhere throughout the house?
My name is Diva and I am an ink pen addict. And I have to go back to work now. Without caffeine. This is going to require Mental Toughness.

I understand packing all but 4 drinking glasses. You have to leave out stuff to use until the move and right after the move. That stuff goes in the car with you so you don't have to unpack boxes just to get a drink of water or juice. Are DH's packing patterns any more logical? :)
I'm definitely getting help with sorting, organizing, and packing. I could do it all myself, but I will be better for having help.
Good luck. I am very excited for you! I also applaud you for filling your kids' heads with knowledge rather than just killing time until their tests.
